We appreciate that not everyone has the time to complete a Yoga Teachers Training Course and have therefore devised a Yoga Beginners Course of one or two weeks. The course is not certified but will be beneficial for those who just want a taster of Yoga or a Yoga vacation. Whatever your motivation you can benefit from a Yoga Beginners Course. If time and interest permits you can also enrol on our 200 hour Yoga Teachers Training Course which is the foundation certified course for Yoga practice and/or those who intend to teach.
The course is available to all regardless of age and health status; however if you do have a medical condition, please do consult us and your medical practitioner before enrolling on our course. We can accommodate most people with medical issues by adapting the practice for you but nevertheless it is better to get the ‘okay’ from your medical practitioner to be on the safe side. Yoga can work as a healing methodology under the guidance of a Yoga therapist but this course is not intended for that; if this is something you seek then please contact us and we will advise you accordingly
We offer you 3 delicious vegetarian meals on a daily basis as well as an abundance of herbal teas for you to savour. Should you have any special dietary needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate them.

There is no force required in this course, nor are you required to have great flexibility and strength; just a will to be aware of your movements using mindfulness is enough. When we say mindfulness, we mean applying your awareness, mind, and breath to the movements given. When you tap into your innate movement intelligence, you will naturally become more flexible and fit for Hatha Yoga asanas.
The somatic movements are minimal, slow, and gentle, requiring a heightened sense of deep awareness to perform. The movements are subtle and have the power to change and increase the neural pathways of the brain. In turn, this expands our ability to be more flexible not only physically but emotionally and mentally too. Furthermore, slow movements with awareness calm the breath and the mind bringing feelings of health and harmony. Moving slowly can help the body move more functionally, like when we were children, thereby creating ease in movement instead of force. The awakening of the natural intelligence is the most potent part of somatic movements; when this happens, one finds ease in movement in any movement practice we so choose to do.
Our 200-hour yoga movement TTC has been designed for anyone over the age of 16 and can be attended by those with health conditions though we do suggest you consult a medical professional before enrolling if you have persistent health issues. We would advise pregnant women not to enrol on the course as Yoga affects the hormones and could result in adverse effects on the expectant mother and unborn child. This course is especially beneficial for the elderly, those with restricted movement as well as those with major blockages due to trauma and psycho-emotional issues. One could say that we all experience blockages, even experienced yoga practitioners hence we would say that this course can be taken by everyone regardless of their prior yoga practice experience.

Important Notes:
The difference between the two courses is quite simply that the Yoga movement TTC encourages you to move from the core of your natural being without force. This is not to say that the Hatha Yoga TTC requires you to do Yoga with force; in fact, quite the opposite. However, many of us in the modern world tend to apply a lot of force and effort to our activities due to the over-achievement mentality and impatience to accomplish things quickly. Whilst this can be useful in some situations, it is not so helpful in Yoga practice,
When we do Yoga with somatic practice, our muscles become flexible. Still, some of us do yoga asanas with the force of our minds, which is not sustainable on a holistic level for the mind-body-spirit complex. However, when we do yoga asanas with the force of our mind, we can often contract our neural pathways instead of expanding them, which is the very purpose yoga was designed. Somatic movement based Yoga is especially beneficial for the elderly, the ill, and those suffering from psycho-emotional traumas; in such cases, the neural pathways often get blocked due to fear and the gentle movements of this course can help the individual come out of such blockages with ease and minimal effort. We aim to bring you to a place of movement like when you were a child and did not even have to think about how to move; movement was natural and full of ease.
This course is registered with the Yoga Alliance as we have adhered fully to the syllabus required by them. We have added components for inborn Yoga, but in no way have we compromised on the yoga alliance syllabus, so rest assured you can become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) after successfully completing this course. You will probably be more equipped to practice and teach as you will have trained in inborn Yoga as well as Hatha Yoga.

The modern world is fast-paced and driven by achievement and material success, whatever the cost. Therefore, we ignore our inner guidance as we are mostly externally focused. When we become externally focussed, we suppress our innate selves and lose touch with our natural intelligence. As we move further away from our natural intelligence, we increase blockages in our mind and body that become difficult to disentangle. The 200-hour yoga movement course facilitates the release of blockages so that you can do yoga asanas more effortlessly; when Yoga becomes effortless for you, it becomes easier for you to teach spontaneously. You will embody the effortlessness of Yoga and become a great inspiration for others.
The syllabus is essentially the same for both courses, except we have some add-on classes for inborn movement – both theory and practical. These add-on classes will help you understand yoga asanas from a different perspective, so you will be better equipped to teach Yoga.
Yes, you can move on to the 300-hour Yoga TTC course after successful completion of the 200-hour yoga movement course. However, eligibility for the 300-hour Yoga TTC course depends on the successful completion of the 200-hour Yoga movement course or the 200-hour Yoga TTC course.
While both the 200-hour Yoga TTC and the Yoga Movement TTC are for healing and harmony, the movement course works differently. Hatha Yoga is practiced along with somatic movements to awaken your body's natural movement intelligently slowly from its core. There is no emphasis on how the posture should look; the movements come from the inner rather than working from the outer to the inner. Yoga movement TTC teaches us to let go of how the posture needs to look; after all, we are all different, and our ways of our movement are unique, for they depend on many things, including our mind-body constitution. Our 200-hour yoga movement TTC will cover the basic principles of inborn movements and enable you to learn from the feelings within your body rather than just outer instructions or our perception of the instructions. You get to dive deep within and learn from your natural intelligence. There is no pushing and forcing so the ease of movement that can be sustained over time even if you were ever to stop the practice of Yoga.
